This is a test. I'm not actually going to write anything for this test, other than to note that writing would be rather silly when typing is called for.
The whole point of this particular test is to see if my comfy little set of technological ranting tools are still operational.
For see, I have entertained the notion of resuming blogging.
I suppose, like a lot of brand new bloggers, I was originally overcome with delusions of significance. But, on the other hand, I really rather enjoyed the enterprise in its own right.
However, over time (and seeing the same idiotic things hashed out, again and again with ever-increasing rancor) the ratio of frustration to satisfaction was getting way out of hand.
I slipped past some of this for a while by virtue of various bouts of self-important guest blogging on blogs far better than mine.
But even this wasn't enough to make the world go all rainbows and unicorns.
But I have reread somethings I wrote eons ago, when I first set electron to blog, and by gosh and by golly, it appears that I was actually just having fun, rather than spending my time Trying To Make A Point.
So, notionally, I've been entertaining the idea of starting writing again, but am, for the time being at least wandering around the forge and inspecting the tools of the erstwhile wordsmiths of the blogging guild, and deciding whether or not the forge should be left cold.
And here we are.
